Dr. Cernie received her Master's and Doctorate Degrees in Counseling Psychology from the Newport International University and a staff member of University for Humanistic Studies . She also has a degree as a Psychiatric Technician (CPT). and is a frequent attendee to the Jack Canfield Seminars and workshops. Trained in many scientific recognized hypnosis techniques from such notable instructors as David Quigley, C.H.T., Dr. Cernie combined many styles into her own specialized process incorporating a much softer, calmer and positive approach focusing on the holistic (mind, body and spirit) proven to be extremely worthwhile in traumatic abuse cases. |

She has worked at numerous hospitals including the Neuro-Surgical Psychological Institute and Fairview Developmental Center. She is an Examiner with the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners, a member in good standing with the Society of Medical Hypnoanalysts, the National Guild of Hypnotists, the International Association of Counselors and Therapists and the International Hypnosis Federation. She is the co-author of a book, "Seven Simple Steps to Self-Esteem." Active in the community, Dr. Cernie is an appointed member of Riverside County's Self-Esteem Task Force, and the Board of Directors for Soroptomist's club in which she received Soroptomist's International Award for Women Helping Women. A Graduate of the City of Riverside Neighborhood Partnership Program and the Neighborhood Academy Program, Dr. Cernie takes her role as a community leader seriously in providing support for many health related programs. Dr. Cernie’s dream is to build a large non-profit alternative health center that will give treatment and counseling to those who suffer from childhood traumas that keep them locked in poverty and illness.
